How to get to Dachau (from airport)

You guys must be thinking I will travel to München Hauptbahnhof and put down our luggages. YOU ARE WRONG!

We decided to carry our luggages to our first stop because we were too energised and want to save some time from travelling. Our first stop is Dachau Concentration camp Memorial Site

How did we get there?
We travelled by the S-Bahn (the local train within Munich City) route S1 to Laim and change S2 route to Dachau.

This is the S2 approaching to the station

It takes about an hour to travel from the airport to Dachau.

Once you arrive in Dachau, there's local bus which takes you directly to the entrance of the memorial site.

This is the bus stop. The weather is sooooo suitable for visiting the memorial site, all grey, rainy...

Bus operates every 10-15 minutes, more buses during the weekend than weekdays.

I am very impressed with the bus system in Germany

There's a map showing where you start and how many stops are there before you get to the final destination.

If you have the all area travel card for the whole Munich Area (Zone 1-16), then the bus is free of charge. It takes about 10 minutes to travel to the site.
